教学目标

知识目标:

能力目标:学生能用自己的话复述课文内容。

情感目标:通过游戏等活动创设情境,激发学生兴趣,在情境中运用所学知识。

教学重点

1. 能帮助学生理解课文内容;

2. 能帮助学生初步掌握新的时间表达法。

教学难点

1. 新的时间的表达法;

2. 学生能听懂、会读、会说词或词组:at night, half past, a quarter past, a quarter to, brush one’s teeth, not yet, on duty, be quick, really

教学准备

PPT课件,板书, 练习册。

教学过程

Step 1 Warming up

    Listen to the song: What time is it?

Free talk

1. What time is it?  It’s time for class.

  Are you ready for class? (Not yet)

2. What’s your hobby?

What time do you have the first lesson?

What time do you get up/ go to school?

Step 2 Presentation

1. Game 1

What time is it? It’s …(Teach: half past , a quarter past, a quarter to)

2. Game 2

    T: Now you know the time well. We can do different activities in different time. Here’s another game for you. Do you want to play the game? Are you ready for it?

    Choose the card and say the sentences like this: I …at …

3. (1) T: Can you do all the things in one day? Of course we can’t. Or we’ll have a busy day. Now listen carefully. Who is busy? (David)

  (2) T: What does David do on his busy day? Now you are David, guess what you do? Perhaps you play card…

  (3) T shows some pictures and asks the Ss listen to the tape, try to underline the phrases about David’s main activities and the time.

  (4) Check the answers.

4. (1) T: OK. You did a good job. David does many things. Let’s watch one by one. First David is at home. T shows the questions. (Teach: ready)

  (2) Read by themselves and answer the question.(Teach: not yet)

  (3) T: There’s no time for breakfast. David takes some bread with him.

  (4) Chant

5. T: David is at school now. Read this part and judge the following sentences with T or F. Then check the answers. (Teach: on duty, be quick.)

6. T: Look at the picture. David and Nancy are at home. What are they saying? Read carefully and answer the questions. (Teach: really)

7. (1) Let’s read the text about David’s busy day. Please read after the tape loudly.

(2) Let’s read together and choose the correct answers.

  (3) David is busy, and how about Nancy? Look, she is writing a diary about David’s busy day. Do you want to help her? Fill in the blanks.

8. Do you want to be busy every day? So remember this: To choose time is to save time.
